Four Norway spruce trees had run their course on this property. When spruce trees start declining - thin canopy, drooping limbs, bark issues - they don't come back. Holding onto them just delays the inevitable and can create real hazards over time. The smart move is removal, and that's exactly what we did here.

We took all four down cleanly. The stumps are still in the ground for now, but stump grinding is the next step so this homeowner has a clean slate to work with. That's the part people sometimes overlook - the removal itself is only half the job. Getting those stumps out is what actually lets you move forward with whatever comes next.

In this case, what comes next is a new arborvitae privacy hedge. That's a popular choice in this area, and for good reason. Arborvitae grow dense and tall, they're low maintenance, and they create a solid natural screen. But you can't plant a proper hedge with old stumps sitting in the way. Everything has to come out first.

We handle both sides of this kind of work - the tree service and the landscaping. That means we're not just removing what's there, we're thinking about what's going in. If you've got trees that are struggling, or you're planning a yard update and need to start with a clean slate, we're working throughout the Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton area and we know this kind of job well.
