Here's what we were working with - overgrown shrubs crowding the foundation, beds that had lost their shape, and organic buildup on the siding that was making the whole front of the house look tired. A beautiful brick home like this deserves a front yard that actually matches it. The landscape just needed a full reset.

We cleared out the overgrowth, pulled the beds back into clean, defined shapes, and brought in fresh dark mulch across the front and side of the home. New plantings went in too - flowering roses near the front island bed, hostas along the side, and a young shade tree to anchor the corner bed. The river rock detail along the driveway edge adds a clean visual break between the mulch bed and the pavement. Simple, but it works.

The before photos tell the story on their own. Shrubs were pushing up against the siding and covering the lower windows. The beds had no real edge to them. After the cleanup and replanting, the house reads completely differently from the street. The brick, the shutters, the roofline - all of it shows up better when the landscape isn't fighting for attention.

What the homeowners also get out of this is less work going forward. Fresh mulch holds moisture, cuts down on weeds, and keeps the beds looking sharp with minimal effort. The new plantings were chosen with low maintenance in mind. No constant pruning required, no plants that are going to outgrow the space in two seasons. That's the goal with every landscape design and installation we do - build something that looks great and stays manageable.

If your front yard has gotten away from you and you're not sure where to start, this kind of full-service reset is exactly what we do for homeowners across the Bethlehem area. Clear it out, redesign it, plant it right, and walk away with something you're proud to pull into every day.
