Sometimes a yard just needs a reset. The beds along the front of this Easton home had run their course - old material, overgrown spots, and nothing tying the look together. The homeowners wanted something clean, low-maintenance, and sharp. That's exactly what we delivered.
We stripped the beds down to bare soil, then delivered and installed Delaware River rock throughout the entire front foundation bed. River rock is a great alternative to mulch - it doesn't break down, doesn't need to be replaced every year, and holds its look through rain and heavy sun. It also does a solid job suppressing weeds, which means less upkeep for the homeowner over time.
We spaced the existing plantings intentionally so each shrub and perennial has room to breathe and fill in. The result is a bed that looks deliberately designed, not just thrown together. The river rock ties the whole thing together and complements the brick exterior in a way that mulch just wouldn't.
Beyond the stone work, we also freshened up the back bed along the arborvitae line with dark mulch. That kind of contrast - deep black mulch against a dense green privacy row - does a lot for the overall feel of a property without a massive investment.
It's a good reminder that curb appeal doesn't always require a full landscape overhaul. The right materials, properly installed, can completely change how a home presents from the street. Clean, polished, and built to last.
