Sometimes a yard just needs someone to come in and fix what isn't working. That's exactly what this job was about. The stone border along the pool fence wasn't doing the homeowner any favors - weeds pushing through, uneven coverage, and the kind of look that takes more effort to maintain than it's worth. We pulled it out and started fresh.
After removing the old stone, we brought in fresh topsoil and regraded the area to give it a clean, workable base. That step matters more than most people realize. Without good soil underneath, whatever you plant or install on top won't hold up long-term. Getting the foundation right is always step one.
From there, we shifted focus to the front of the home. Fresh dark mulch across the beds, existing shrubs cleaned up and shaped, and a newly planted Yoshino cherry tree as a focal point. That tree is going to be a showstopper as it matures - nice structure, great seasonal interest, and it ties the whole front bed together without overwhelming the space.
The goal with any landscape design and installation job like this is simple - make it look sharp and make it easier to take care of going forward. Fewer problem areas, better materials, and plants that are right-sized for the space. That's what keeps a yard looking good year after year without a ton of ongoing effort.
We work with homeowners across Allentown, Bethlehem, and Easton who are ready to stop fighting their landscape and start enjoying it. Whether it's a full redesign or targeted fixes like this one, we're pretty good at figuring out what a yard actually needs.
